Kakapo Podcast in Final Stages of Editing

Our next podcast, which features the flightless (and heaviest) parrot is in the final stages of editing. The New Zealand Kakapo, a parrot which numbers only 86 members in its species is critically endangered. Thanks to the hard work of people involved in the Kakapo Recovery Programme, this bird may well make a recovery.

Bad news….

A woman put her pet parrot’s cage on the front porch of her home in Alexander City, Ala., but the bird escaped, flew off and settled in a neighbor’s magnolia tree. While she tried to coax the parrot down, a red-tailed hawk swooped down and ate it.
