A particular parrot and an elephant might look like the rest of their species, but according to their owners the two are the most talented animals on Earth.
‘Griffin’, the parrot is as clever as a three-year-old child, and ‘Hong’, the elephant is a fantastic painter.
The parrot can easily understand abstract concepts such as time, place and matter.
And the elephant is so good at his painting skills, that he once fooled a roomful of art experts into thinking that his daubs were produced by a human.
The duo is featured in a Five documentary series called ‘Extraordinary Animals’. Please visit here for more information.

Dallas police are investigating a very unusual burglary case. A pet owner says someone broke into her house and stole two cockatoo birds.
Tonight all the owner wants for Christmas is her birds back where they belong.
“They’re very sensitive to your emotions, they’re incredible pets,” explains Nicole George. “These little guys live to be about 80-years-old. You want to put them in your will basically.”
George has had her cockatoos for 16 years. She says she knew something wasn’t right when she walked through her door and didn’t get her usual greeting. “Thumper actually has a distinctive whistle,” she said. For more information visit CBS11TV

NILES — Floyd talks, makes kissing sounds and whistles the tune from “The Andy Griffith Show.”
And he’s missing.
The Mexican Red-Headed Amazon Parrot was stolen between noon and 4 p.m. Saturday from Ewert’s Pets, 2059 S. Third St.
George Blake, store manager, said the theft ruined the Christmas of an area family that had planned to purchase the bird as a gift, either for itself or someone else.
He said the family — he didn’t get a name — went to the store Sunday to close the deal and discovered Floyd had been stolen. For details read here.
